I went to a dentist for a veneers consultation and as expected I need
at least veneers to cover tetracycline stains on 14 teeth. What I
didn't expect is the price, $1,100 per tooth, seems a bit high? Is it
because he's in N. CA bay area? This is something I have to do but
I'm just not sure what the norm cost of veneers is.

how much is a veneer, is like saying how much is a car! It depends on
who the dentist is and who the technician is - generally speaking
though the simple 'supply and demand' theory applies. The more people
that wish to use my services the more I will put my prices up! Thats
business!
If you are in doubt - get a second opinion and another quote. Ask to
see before and after cases, what guarantees do they give, ask to see
diagnostic waxups of how you can look.
If that includes any work prior to the veneers, the fee is low. If that is
just for the veneers, it would high in Detroit, but from what I have heard,
about right for the desirable parts of California or NYC.
We agree. Anything less than $100,000 to $200,000 and up ,,,,,, way
up is a real bargain ........
Sorry for the sarcasm, but I am picturing the brown looking teeth and
the lack of "AFFORDABLE" health care solutions!

Quite coincidentally I am both!
The debates last night struck a chord. Onr theme: take the current
money spent for health care, now around 15% of GDP and redistribute it
to all children, all welfare folks and deserving seniors and it would
cover everything and there would be plenty left over to boot.
The candidate said, we are already doing that (paying for it!) EXCEPT
we are shifting the costs from those who cannot pay onto those who
can. This includes increased costs to employers which is quite unfair
and holds back productivity.
